About Me
I completed a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Prescott College. I worked for a year and a half providing supervised individual and family counseling at CIELO Programs in Olympia, WA in both English and Spanish with an emphasis on youth well being, addressing symptoms of anxiety and depression, and fostering connection between teens and their caregivers. Since 2020, I have been in private practice providing mental health services for individual adults, teens, families, and couples in the Olympia area. I am experienced in working with survivors of sexual trauma and intimate partner violence.
Prior to becoming a counselor, I worked for many years as a Spanish interpreter in mental health, medical, and social service settings providing language access for individuals coping with wide array of life's challenges. I am bilingual in English and Spanish and able to provide therapy in either language.
My therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in compassion and combines parts work, family systems theories, neurobiology and polyvagal theory, somatic/body awareness, and expressive mediums such as sand tray therapy. I have also completed Level 1 and 2 Training in Lifespan Integration, which is a gentle, body-based trauma-resolution protocol. My work is inspired and informed by my deep love for the natural world. I believe that all parts of ourselves are trying to make sense of and cope with our experiences. All of the parts of who we are have information for us and strive towards healing and liberation, and I believe that each individual and family system can and will move towards greater connection and integration if given the opportunity.
In my work, I strive to acknowledge the many facets of experience and identity that impact our daily lives, including systemic oppression, gender, sexuality, race and ethnicity, culture, socioeconomic status, histories of colonization and/or immigration, language, and spirituality. I am open to and comfortable exploring issues related to identity, privilege, and oppression, and the way these forces shape our individual and collective experiences. I acknowledge that I live and work on the unceded and occupied lands of the Coast Salish, Chehalis, Cowlitz, Nisqually, and Squaxin Tribes, who are the traditional custodians of the land on which I am an uninvited guest.

I offer counseling for adults (18+), families with youth (13+), and partnerships (couples or triads, romantic or platonic) on a sliding scale ranging from $75 - $130. If the cost of therapy is a barrier for you, let me know and we can discuss options.
I am currently accepting private pay clients, unfortunately at this time I am not able to accept insurance. I am able to offer a super-bill which some insurance providers will accept for out-of-network reimbursement. Due to COVID-19, I am conducting sessions via telephone or videoconferencing.
Call or email to schedule a free, 20-minute consultation.
You can ask me about any concerns, my approach, scheduling, or fees, and I will ask you some questions to get a sense of what you are looking for from counseling to see if we might be a good fit.
